Building London Sumatra Colonial Heritage

Visits to historical sites is never-ending in Medan. Many of the heritage sites of the Dutch occupation in the Medan and historical sites that still survive and are still useful to this day is still very much. Building London Sumatra is located in the street Kesawan is one of the Dutch colonial heritage buildings which are still functioning sebaga office building in Medan. Building London Sumatra or so-called Lonsum building was completed in 1906 along with the birth of Queen Juliana, the Royal Dutch family. The house was built by David Harrison, owner of Harrison & Crossfield rubber plantation company (H & C), based London. Although built during the 90's, the facilities in this building is quite amazing. Building Lonsum recorded as a first building in the field who use the technology to reach the elevator five floors. 

At that time the building serves as an office Lonsum trade and plantations. Built with five floors and an overall creamy white painted building, the building formerly known as the Juliana building. Adapting the architecture of this building from the architectural style of the houses in London around 18-19 century. architectural model of European style influenced many forms such as a window on the left and right sides of the building. Soon after Indonesia's independence, Harrison & Crossfield company ownership into the hands of Indonesia. Currently the building is still used as a London Sumatra Lonsum office building and renamed PT PP London Sumatra.
